What this website collects

• No cookies. The site doesn’t store anything in your browser.
• No tracking or advertising. There are no analytics, advertising or social-media scripts on the site.
• No forms. There’s nothing to fill in, so nothing you type is collected.
• Fonts and photos come from our own site, so visiting doesn’t send your details to font or image services.

Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested. These are used to keep the site secure and running.

“Show my location”

The Show my location button in the safety section asks your phone for your GPS position so you can read it to dispatch. Your phone asks your permission first, and you can say no. Your location is only shown on your own screen: it isn’t sent to Don’s or anyone else.

If you tap Open in Maps, Google Maps opens with your coordinates, and Google’s privacy policy applies from there.

Links to other websites

Links to our Google reviews, our Google Maps listing and our address open Google’s websites. Once you’re there, Google’s privacy policy applies, not this one.

When you call us To confirm

To send help, dispatch will ask for the information needed to reach you and your vehicle, such as your name, phone number, location and vehicle details. We use it to arrange the help you asked for.

Your information, your rights

Under BC’s Personal Information Protection Act, you can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact our office at office@donstowing.ca or 250-374-6281.

Changes to this policy

If the way this website works changes, we’ll update this page.
